Lighting because it is the most honest product category I know: the object has to look right off and on, hide its electronics, cool itself, and survive a cleaner. The robot because healthcare is where I think design is needed most.
3 awardsA companion robot for people living with dementia, built on what the care research says helps: reminiscence, social contact, cognitive stimulation and movement.
2 awardsA glowing sphere hangs beneath a metal disc, like an eclipse. Rose-gold metal, black marble, hand-crafted opal glass.
1 awardHot glass settles over a steel mould and leaves an uneven edge. Onda keeps the edge. Each wave is slightly different.
1 awardA stainless steel cable mesh that can be reshaped to a space, with borosilicate glass light modules set wherever the room needs them.
1 awardSegments inspired by glowworm anatomy, joined by friction hinges that hold whatever angle you leave them at. The same modules become a pendant, a chandelier, a wall light, a table lamp or a sculpture.
Physical objects still have to be held, lit, wired, cooled, shipped and repaired, and every one of those is a decision a jury can see. I use AI the way I use a bandsaw: a tool with opinions. The judgment of what to make, for whom, and what to leave out stays human. That judgment is the part I practice here.
